Hall’s Go-Ahead Blast Sparks Raptors’ 3rd Straight Victory
OGDEN, UT — September 4, 2025 — The Ogden Raptors put together one of their most well-rounded performances of the season Thursday night, riding timely home runs, a four-hit night from True Fontenot, and a dominant bullpen effort to take a 3-0 lead in their final home series of the regular season, against the Boise Hawks.
Ogden jumped out early with a two-run first, then Fontenot promptly doubled the lead with a two-run shot in the second, followed by Cole Jordan’s third homer in his last two games, stretching the lead to 5-0.
Boise chipped away and fought back, eventually taking the lead 6–5 in the fifth thanks to Max Jung-Goldberg’s multi-homer night.
Christian Hall felt the pressure and delivered the clutchest swing of the night, launching a go-ahead two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth to put Ogden back on top, 7–6. That blast ignited a six-run inning, capped by a two-run single from Connor Bagnieski and a two-run double off the bat of Carmine Lane to put the game out of reach.
Starter Austyn Coleman gave the Raptors the opportunity they needed with four innings of work before the bullpen slammed the door shut. Dylan Gardner, Alain Lopez, and Cameron Edmonson combined to strike out five over three perfect innings, feeding off Coleman’s energy and ensuring the Hawks never mounted another rally.
With just three games left in the regular season, you won’t want to miss tomorrow’s Game 4 contest, where fans can enjoy a Free Bee giveaway for the first 300 fans, plus Ace Hardware Night and Weber School District Teacher Appreciation Night at the ballpark.
