Raptors v Jacks Game 3
After their dominating performance in last night's ballgame, the Raptors came up short tonight largely because of the shutdown efforts of Jackalopes starter Stephen Still. He was as efficient and pinpoint as could be, striking out seven batters, on his way to a masterful seven scoreless frames of three hit baseball. With Still’s stuff remaining untouchable throughout his seven innings of work, it limited the Raptors to scoring their very first runs of the game in the 8th inning. The consecutive zeros put up by Still, plus the early ambush from the Jackalope’s lineup, scoring eight runs within their first three turns at bat, led to a recipe of success that helped the Jackalopes cruise to a game three victory. The Raptors passed the baton from pitcher to pitcher from the third inning on, with Jon Rice, Quinn Waterhouse, Shawn Triplett, and Dylan Matsuoka all surrendering zero earned runs. On a tough night for the Raptors, the bright spots in the lineup circled back to Nick Ulstch, and Landen Barns, who each posted multi-rbi performances accounting for all of the Raptors scoring. The Raptors will look to bounce back into the win column and even up the series at two games a piece, starting tomorrow night at 6:30 when these two squads face off in game four of this home series here at Lindquist Field.
